The Future of the Printing Industry Discussed Marmara University
At the event, which drew a large attendance of industry professionals, academics, entrepreneurs and students who will be the printing professionals of the future, the topics of artificial intelligence, big data, smart production systems, Industry 5.0, print house automation, smart printing technologies, sustainable production and digital transformation were covered comprehensively.
The event, which also received extensive coverage in issue 128 of Basım Dünyası – BASEV Magazine, stood out as one of the strategic organisations shaping the future of the industry.
A New Era in the Printing Industry: Matbaa 5.0
"Matbaa 5.0", the main theme of the event, focused not only on automation-based production, but on a next generation smart production model in which human intelligence and technology work together.
In his talk, Yuchisoft CEO Samet Soylar emphasised that the print house sector must now transform from being an industry that merely produces into smart organisations that generate data, analyse it and manage their processes with artificial intelligence.
Soylar used the following striking words in his talk:
"Simply managing processes is no longer enough; we have to adopt a perspective that steers change and leads it."
"If we do not give direction to technology and lead the transformation of our business processes, it becomes impossible for us to be sustainable."
In line with this approach, the transformation journey of the print house sector from Industry 1.0 to Industry 5.0 was assessed in detail at the event. The transformation that began with mechanical production driven by steam power and extends today to artificial intelligence supported smart print houses was followed with great interest by the industry representatives.

Print Houses Digitalising with Print Flow and Flex Print
At the event, the Print Flow Print House Management System and the Flex Print Web-to-Print platform developed by Yuchisoft were also introduced in detail.
Thanks to these solutions, developed within TÜBİTAK Marmara Teknokent:
- ERP, BPM, MIS and business intelligence processes can be managed on a single platform,
- production processes can be monitored in real time,
- artificial intelligence supported planning can be carried out,
- order, stock, quality control and dispatch processes can be digitalised end to end.
In his talk, Yuchisoft CEO Samet Soylar described the company's vision for digital transformation in the print house sector as follows:

Hosted by Marmara University, the event created an important knowledge sharing environment that brought the worlds of academia, industry and technology together on the same platform.
At the organisation, held in collaboration with MATDER and Yuchisoft, the printing technologies of the future, digital transformation strategies and the sustainability vision of the industry were assessed from many angles.
Throughout the event it was emphasised that artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation, sustainable and human-centred technologies will play a decisive role in the future of the printing industry. It was stated in particular that the Industry 5.0 approach takes print houses beyond being businesses that merely produce and turns them into data-driven, smart and integrated production centres.
