Marmara University Print Flow Training
As part of the Yuchisoft Academy programme run by Yuchisoft, students from the Department of Printing Technologies at the Marmara University Faculty of Applied Sciences and from the Department of Printing and Publishing Technologies at the Vocational School of Technical Sciences took part in a comprehensive training programme on digital printing technologies.
Through the training events organised every year, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the current software infrastructures, production management systems and digital operation processes used in the printing industry.
In this year of the programme, students had the chance to examine in detail how production processes are managed in a digital environment through the Print Flow Print House Management System developed at TÜBİTAK Marmara Teknokent.
Students Examined Digital Production Management in Practice
During the training, the fundamental building blocks of modern print house operations were conveyed to participants through practical examples. The programme focused in particular on the following topics:
- Digital workflow and job order management
- Production planning and operation processes
- Machine performance and process tracking
- Prepress and postpress operation management
- Cost analysis and efficiency optimisation
- Stock, purchasing and logistics processes
- Digital transformation and sustainable production approaches in the printing sector
Students also experienced how the Print Flow infrastructure manages production processes centrally, and observed at first hand the advantages that a data-driven production approach brings to the industry.
Strong Collaboration Between University and Industry
Beyond being a platform where technical training is delivered, Yuchisoft Academy offers an important development environment that allows students to recognise the current needs of the industry at an early stage.
Today, as digitalisation spreads rapidly across the printing and packaging sector, it is of great importance that students become familiar with ERP, BPM and automation based production systems during their education.
The training delivered in this context aims to help students adapt to the industry more quickly, gain a digital production perspective and grow into individuals prepared for the technologies of the future.
At the end of the programme, participating students were awarded "Print Flow – Print House Management System" certificates of attendance.
